My great, great-grandparents were: William Rouse and Susan Ann Golly.
According to their marriage certificate (certified entry), they were married (by Banns) on 26 April 1862 at Gorran. The Marriage witnesses were Mary Ann Rouse and George Golley.

Susan's details

Father's Name & Profession - Stephen Golly, Thatcher.

Susan Ann Rouse (nee Golly) died 25 Dec 1904 in Petone, New Zealand and herein lies a family mystery. Her death certificate gives her name as Mary and she is buried as Mary. Her certificate also gives her fathers name correctly as Stephen, but her mother's name is listed as Susan. Earlier New Zealand Rolls have her listed as Susan. My great-grandfather's (Thomas Henry Rouse) birth certificate lists his mother as Susan Rouse, formally Golly.

Susan's two brothers, Richard Rickard Golly and William Rickard Golly both came to Australia and both died while still in their 20's. Richard died on 9 April, 1857 aged 25 years at Belfast (Port Fairy), Victoria. The cause of death is listed as TB and he wasn't married. William died in 1865 aged 26 years and I have yet to obtain the death certificate for William.

My 3x Great-grandparents were: Stephen Golly and Philippa Rickard
Stephen and Philippa were married 7 Mar 1831 at St Michael Caerhays. (Stephen was listed as a widower - I have no information on a previous marriage) According to both the 1871 & 1881 census records, Philippa was 9-10 years older than Stephen. To date I have been unable to find much information on Philippa, as over three census her place of birth changed from St.Erme to St.Columb.
