40. Philip⁸ Vercoe (Philip⁷, Phillip⁶, Samuel⁵, Samuel⁴, William³, Robert², Thomas¹ Varcow) was born in St Mawes, Cornwall 3 May 1830. Philip died 27 Sep 1916 at 86 years of age.

He married Anne Foreman in St Mary's Church, New Plymouth, N.Z., 6 Sep 1855. Anne was born in Birchington, Kent, England 16 Feb 1834. Anne was the daughter of Richard White Foreman and Mary Hoyle. Anne died 28 Jan 1917 in Blenheim, New Zealand, at 82 years of age.

Philip Vercoe and Anne Foreman had the following children:

She married Patrick (Peter) Campbell Patterson in Havelock, Marlborough, NZ, 21 Jun 1877. Patrick was born in Micklegate, York, England 28 Jan 1851. Patrick died 5 Oct 1923 in Stratford, New Zealand, at 72 years of age.

51 iv. Susannah Vercoe was born in New Plymouth, NZ 15 Aug 1859. Susannah died 27 Jan 1943 in Wairau, Marlborough, NZ, at 83 years of age. She married twice. She married Charles Gibbons 9 Nov 1875. She married William Jones in New Zealand, 15 Jan 1884. William was born 23 Dec 1841. William died 23 Jan 1918 in New Zealand, at 76 years of age. 52 v. Esther Vercoe was born in New Plymouth, New Zealand 28 Oct 1860. Esther died 11 Apr 1862 in New Plymouth, New Zealand, at 1 year of age.

53 vi. Richard Vercoe was born in Motueka, New Zealand 2 Oct 1862. Richard died 8 Aug 1936 in Nelson, New Zealand, at 73 years of age. He married Clara Walker 30 Dec 1886.

54 vii. Annie Vercoe was born in Motueka, New Zealand 13 Dec 1863. Annie died 27 Jul 1942 at 78 years of age. She married Charles Horace Raven 1883.

55 viii. John Vercoe was born in Motueka, New Zealand 22 May 1865. John died 25 Apr 1939 in Nelson, New Zealand, at 73 years of age. He married Mary Anne Brown 24 Jun 1889.

56 ix. Walter Ernest Vercoe was born in Motueka, New Zealand 11 Aug 1867. Walter died 26 Feb 1949 in Blenheim, New Zealand, at 81 years of age. He married Lilias Eliza Timms.

57 x. Frederick Vercoe was born in Motueka, New Zealand 11 Dec 1868. Frederick died 7 Mar 1940 at 71 years of age. He married Ellen Jessie Sullivan 16 Mar 1892.

58 xi. Eliza Vercoe was born in Motueka, New Zealand 11 Jun 1869. Eliza died 28 Aug 1949 at 80 years of age. She married Walter Hastie Middlemiss 17 Mar 1887.

59 xii. Elizabeth Jane Vercoe was born in Motueka, New Zealand 11 Apr 1870. Elizabeth died 25 Sep 1880 in Blenheim, New Zealand, at 10 years of age.

60 xiii. Martha Vercoe was born in Motueka, New Zealand 7 Feb 1872. Martha died 16 Feb 1956 at 84 years of age. She married John George Parkes 1896.

61 xiv. Aeneas Vercoe was born in Motueka, New Zealand 25 Apr 1874. Aeneas died 26 Oct 1944 in Picton, New Zealand, at 70 years of age. He married Grace Elizabeth Collings 27 Feb 1899.
