He married Gesine Catherine Poninghouse 11 Aug 1919. Gesine was born in Papanui, Christchurch. 2 Jan 1892. Gesine died 12 Sep 1993 in Hokatiki, NZ, at 101 years of age.

2 i. Frances Gloria² Sisson was born in Papanui, Christchurch, NZ 14 Dec 1921. She married Ronald Erle Simonsen 21 Jun 1951. Ronald was born in Blenheim, New Zealand 9 May 1916. Ronald was the son of Neil Rasmus Simonsen and Lily Martha Rush. Ronald died 8 Dec 1980 in Blenheim, New Zealand, at 64 years of age. (See Ronald Erle Simonsen for the continuation of this line.)
