8. Ronald Erle³ Simonsen (Neil Rasmus², Rasmus Nielsen¹) was born in Blenheim, New Zealand 9 May 1916. Ronald died 8 Dec 1980 in Blenheim, New Zealand, at 64 years of age.

He married twice. He married Joyce Henderson. He married Frances Gloria Sisson 21 Jun 1951. Frances was born in Papanui, Christchurch, NZ 14 Dec 1921. Frances is the daughter of Edward Josep Sisson and Gesine Catherine Poninghouse.

Ronald Erle Simonsen and Joyce Henderson had the following children:

15 iii. Lawrence Simonsen.
