2. Neil Rasmus² Simonsen (Rasmus Nielsen¹) was born in Canvastown, Marlborough, NZ 7 Jul 1883. Neil died 5 Sep 1963 in Wairau, Marlbourgh, NZ, at 80 years of age.

He married Lily Martha Rush 18 Oct 1906. Lily was born in Kaituna, New Zealand 24 Sep 1886. Lily was the daughter of Francis Bine (Frank) Rush and Maria Louisa Mortimer. Lily died 13 Jun 1971 in Blenheim, New Zealand, at 84 years of age.

Neil Rasmus Simonsen and Lily Martha Rush had the following children:

4 ii. Thelma Simonsen.

5 iii. Dean Simonsen.

6 iv. Rex Simonsen.

+ 7 v. Colin Neil Simonsen was born 25 Jul 1914.

+ 8 vi. Ronald Erle Simonsen was born 9 May 1916.

+ 9 vii. Innes Ross Simonsen was born 28 May 1919.

10 viii. Eileen Joyce Simonsen was born 31 Dec 1921. Eileen died 14 Nov 1957 in Waikenae, New Zealand, at 35 years of age. She married Peter Wootten. (See Peter Wootten for the continuation of this line.)
