He married Ipsa Broad in Gorran, Cornwall, 1733. Ipsa was the daughter of Richard Broad and Mary Slade. Her body was interred 1774 in St Ewe, Cornwall.

He was christened in Gorran, Cornwall, 10 Aug 1703.
