He married Ruby Vera Young in Blenheim, New Zealand, 13 May 1919. Ruby was born in Blenheim, New Zealand 13 Mar 1894. Ruby was the daughter of William Burlinson Young and Agnes Patchett. Ruby died 18 Aug 1944 in Christchurch, New Zealand, at 50 years of age.

Reginald Humphreys and Ruby Vera Young had the following children:

2 i. Nancy Lola² Humphreys was born 1921. She married William Harold Straw.

3 ii. June Beverley Humphreys was born in Seddon, New Zealand 1922. She married Sydney Falconer.

4 iii. Betty Lucretia Humphreys was born in New Zealand 1928. She married Kevin Murphy.
