He married Mary Jane Hodson in Muston, Leicestershire, 24 Jun1872. Mary was born in Leicestershire Abt 1851. Mary was the daughter of George Hodson and Jane Lyon. Mary died 29 May 1931 in Blenheim, New Zealand, at 79 years of age.

Charles Patchett and Mary Jane Hodson had the following children:

34 i. Agnes⁵ Patchett was born in Muston, Leicestershire 31 Mar 1873. Agnes died 2 Mar 1943 in Blenheim, New Zealand, at 69 years of age. She married William Burlinson Young in Blenheim, New Zealand, 6 Apr 1893. William was the son of John William Young and Lucretia Coleman. William died 6 Feb 1938 in Blenheim, New Zealand. 36 iii. John George Patchett was born 1876.

37 iv. Thomas William Patchett was born in Wairau, Marlborough, New Zealand 14 May 1877.

38 v. Herbert Patchett was born 12 Dec 1878. Herbert died 28 May 1907 at 28 years of age.

39 vi. John George Patchett was born in Blenheim, New Zealand 15 Jan 1880. John died 24 May 1950 at 70 years of age.

40 vii. Sarah Ellen Patchett was born in New Zealand 24 Sep 1881.

41 viii. Annie Patchett was born 26 May 1883.

42 ix. Johnathon Patchett was born 11 Jul 1885.

43 x. Gladys Eileen Viva Patchett was born 21 Apr 1893.

44 xi. Dorothy Alma Patchett was born 1 Jul 1895. Dorothy died 5 Dec 1910 at 15 years of age.
