He married Emily Rebecca Louisa Fellingham. Emily was born in London, England 26 Sep 1839. Emily was the daughter of George Fellingham and Rebecca Sutton. Emily died 3 Nov 1913 in Upper Hutt, New Zealand, at 74 years of age.
