1. Thomas¹ CRAWFORD was born 1842. Thomas died 29 Jan 1875 in Christchurch Hospital, New Zealand, at 32 years of age. His body was interred in Barbados Street, Cemetery, Christchurch.

He married Caroline CHECKLEY in R.Catholic Church, Christchurch, New Zealand, 15 Jan 1867. Caroline was born in Middlesex, England 25 Jul 1846. Caroline was the daughter of Richard Cary CHECKLEY and Eliza CHRISTOPHER. Caroline died 12 Sep 1923 at 77 years of age in Palmerston North.

Thomas CRAWFORD and Caroline CHECKLEY had the following children:

+ 2 i. John Henry McCann² CRAWFORD was born 27 Oct 1868.

+ 3 ii. Thomas Patrick McCann CRAWFORD was born 21 Mar 1870.

4 iii. Edith McCann CRAWFORD was born 15 Sep 1872. Edith died 9 Nov 1872.

+ 5 iv. Alfred CRAWFORD was born 21 Sep 1873.

+ 6 v. Arthur CRAWFORD was born 16 Aug 1875.
