DRY - London
The earliest information I have is James Robert DRY born abt 1819, possibly Islington, London - father Robert DRY, mother unknown.
James DRY married Harriet EPPS in 1843, Poplar (London/Middlesex), with both being 'Of Age'. James occupation
is 'Carpenter' and his father Robert DRY, a Cabinet Maker. Harriet's father was George EPPS, Butcher.
The witnesses to this marriage were: Robert DRY & Mary EPPS.
James & Harriet had 4 children that I know of: George born 29 Apr 1846, Harriet born 27 Jun 1849 (may have died young), James Robert born abt 1852 and
and Ellen A. born abt 1856. George (born 1846) is the same one that went to
New Zealand abt 1867.
HOPE/? - Hertfordshire
John HOPE & Susannah ? were the parents of my 2xgreat grandmother, Sarah Alice HOPE.
Information on the 1841 census states that John was born in Codicote and is possibly the son of
William & Sarah HOPE, ch. 25 Aug 1816 at Codicote,
Hertfordshire.
From John's Will, I know he had 3 brothers - Frederick, Henry & George and one
sister, Mary Ann. Mary Ann HOPE married Peter PLEDGER on 1 Jun 1840 at Saint Botolph Without
Aldersgate, London. I am still trying to trace any marriages for the brothers. Sarah Alice, her
mother and John's brothers & sister were the main beneficeries of his Will.
On the 1841 Census, Susannah HOPE listed her birth place as Roydon, Essex. I can find no record of her
marriage to John HOPE.
ROUSE - Cornwall & New Zealand
William ROUSE married Susan Ann GOLLY 26 April 1862, Gorran, Cornwall. The marriage entry states William's father
as William ROUSE, Labourer. It's possible
that William (Jnr) was a son of William ROUSE & Harriet WILLIAMS married 1823 at Mevagissey, Cornwall.
Also William and Susan had 10 children in New Zealand and I have only been able to find the names of eight:

RICKARD - Cornwall
Phillippa RICKARD married Stephen GOLLEY 7 March 1831 at St Michael Caerhays. The census information
on Phillippa is also conflicting. The 1851 Census has her aged 46 and born at St.Erme. Both the
1871 & 1881 Census has her birth date as around 1799 and born at St.Columb Minor.
The only possible 'lead' I have on Phillippa is that she may have been a daughter of
Richard RICKARD & Elizabeth THOMAS married 1798 at St.Enoder but have been unable
to confirm this.
SKELLETT - Cornwall
Elizabeth GOLLEY married Charles Skellett 9 March 1865 with the marriage certificate showing
Joseph SKELLETT as being the father of Charles.
CLARK - New Zealand
The following were my Grandfather's half brothers & sisters:
Sarah (Annie) CLARK - born Oct 1877. Married Thomas NORTON 1895.
Edith Mary CLARK - born Feb 1879. Married Thomas SPARKS & Edward BERG.
John McMullen CLARK - born Apr 1881. Married Eliza Emma GILL.
William Henry CLARK - born May 1883.
Joseph Ernest CLARK - born Jan 1885. Married Alice Maud OLLIVER.
Ernest John CLARK - born 1880. Married Ethel May SIMMONS.
Frederick Keenan CLARK - born & died 1886.
Another child born in 1882?.
Their father was John McMullen CLARK (mother: Martha KEENAN)
I know very little about them and would love to find more information.
JAMES/GRADDON/HELLIER - Devon (Exeter)
Abraham JAMES born 1813, Exeter, Devon, married Catherine GRADDON, 10 May 1837 at Saint Sidwell, Exeter, Devon.
Abraham's parents possibly Isaac JAMES & Mary JENKINS.
Looking for further information on Rose HELLIER born 1845, daughter of Richard HELLIER & Elizabeth ? (possibly CROFT).
SHAW/MARKLAND - Warwickshire (Tamworth)
William SHAW born abt 1826 married Ann MARKLAND in Jul 1853 at Tamworth. Looking for
parents of William - Ann may have been the daughter of Richard MARKLAND and Mary RICHARDSON.
