We never did fly around on a broom
Circling the earth and the bright full moon
Nor are our noses pointed and warty
Not all of us cackle or are well over forty
Pictured in tall and pointed black hats
Playing with devils and sleek flying bats
All this is false about our cherished craft
Some think it is true and call us daft
The modern witch calls on natural powers
Uses herbs and candles and scented flowers
We do as we will but do harm to none
Really it's quite normal and lots of fun
Wiggling our noses and twitching an ear
Is not an image we all hold so dear
Portrayed as Samantha or evil old hags-
We're not happy with society's tags
We do not hex or turn people into toads
But live by noble ancient witchcraft codes
All have the talents and gift of magic
To be seen as evil is simply tragic
