The ' Bennett and Gregor ' family established the "Parana Park" coloured sheep flock in 1973. Based at Reeves Plains, 50 kilometres north of Adelaide, in South Australia, the flock has been very carefully bred and selected to produce Corriedale and Merino sheep and fleece of the highest quality.

Natural Coloured Fleece for Handspinning

Corriedale, Merino and Corriedale/Merino fleece is available in all natural shades including black, grey, silver and white. All fleeces are clean, longstapled, and very soft handling, ranging frm 54's - 60's's quality. Our specialty (as at left) is moorit brown from rich chocolate and cinnamon to fawn to pale sandy beige. Our fleeces are acclaimed worldwide and meet all requirements for export. Destinations include Japan, USA, Germany, Denmark and the UK. On request, fleece sample cards are sent throughout Australia and the world.

Carded Wool Batts for Felting
( not suitable for spinning),

Our new product, carded pre-felt batts, are made from our top quality fleece but staple lengths are cut shorter for processing.
The batts are needled, ready for very quick, clean and easy felt making, and are ideal for large projects. Whole batts are approximately 2.4 x 1.8 metres (6'x8') in area, 2.5cms(1") thick. and each weigh approx 1.6 kg (3.5lbs), at an average weight of 300gm per sq metre.Batts can be cut or split for sale in smaller quantities.Samples cards are available. Shades include dark grey/brown, smokey grey, silver grey, cinnamon brown, sandy beige and white.

Carded Wool for Spinning and Felting

Natural coloured carded wool is produced from our top quality, long stapled, clean fleeces.Soft handling Corriedale and Merino wool is colour sorted into six shades, gently scoured, and then combed into batts. Whole batts weigh approx 3-4 kilos but can be split or cut according to your needs.In this form the batts can be torn into strips for spinning, used whole for large felt making projects, or split into layers for quilt making, toy filling and soft furnishing. Currently limited stocks are available in greys only.

Champion Sheep	Supreme Champion Fleece

Some of Australia's best coloured sheep have been bred by Bennett and Gregor. Like the undefeated purebred Corriedale rams above, they are renowned for their large frames, excellent conformation, and heavy cutting, soft handling, uniform fleeces. Our sheep have been exported to the USA (as semen), to New Zealand, and to all states in Australia.	The excellent quality of fleeces produced by Bennett and Gregor is reflected in repeated success at many national and international wool shows, with numerous "Most Successful Exhibitor" Awards.The fleece above won the Supreme Champion Fleece Award at the Fifth World Congress on Coloured Sheep in Geelong, Victoria, Australia 1999.
